Perfecting My Craft

So....as an actor, there are a LOT of ways to work on improving your skills. There are different techniques to study, and endless amounts of books and courses and videos to learn from. I have been trying to REALLY figure out for myself which option is best for me - because everyone you talk to has a different idea and opinion on the subject.

WELL - I'm here to tell you all today that I have FOUND the way for me! After scouring the internet for which suits me best, I came up with this quick and simple training video that I think ALL actors could benefit from. The style of learning? Well, I'm no expert, but I would have to say this is CLEARLY a method actor...in a method acting situation. And what IS Method Acting? Well, according to Wikipedia: Method acting is an acting technique in which actors try to replicate real life emotional conditions under which the character operates, in an effort to create a life-like, realistic performance.

So...I'm no expert...and I'm willing to open it up for discussion...but regardless, I think that THIS is the style for me to take MY craft to the NEXT level. And I'm ready and excited to dive in, head first!

A production of The Miracle Worker (the story of Helen Keller) somewhere...sometime...

The Teare Family has a standing invitation to all future beach trips. Consider yourself invited.

If I saw you do that, I'd likely start laughing. My question is thus: would you be able to keep your composure if you heard me cackling like a witch in the far-out darkness?

OMFG---I was going to make what I thought was a mildly droll comment about Helen Keller eating off of a TV tray, but nothing, NOTHING compares humor-wise to that bitch falling off the stage. Bold choice, Helen. Now THAT is commitment!
