three magic words

fries. gravy. cheese.

those 3 things combined create the quebec specialty known as 'poutine'. and there is just no way to adequately describe the experience of having it. new friend, josee (a quebec native), and i went to a local joint here in vancouver to check out their take on poutine...me for the first time, and josee as a seasoned expert. and we both left with 2 enthusiastic thumbs UP!

canadian bacon AND poutine? i could get used to this country.

i found this place after doing some online research for poutine in the vancouver area. it was said to be the 2nd best place in the greater vancouver area to get poutine - but the first was way too far out for 2 adventurers with no car.

i present to you: POUTINE. ooooooohhhhhhh. aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh.

josee gets a taste of home. poutine. a montreal smoked meat sandwich. and a canada dry ginger ale.

photographic art i like to call: ode to canada.

me...out front...post-poutine and happy with life.

You didn't try Burger King's poutine? Was it not on the list?
